Rules and Tools for Maths level 2
Some reference notes (24 pages in Word format) to remind you of the rules in maths which you need to be familiar with at this level. AN excellent basic reference guide!

There are 4 categories in the curriculum:

Decimals,Fractions and Percentages;

Common Measures including metric measures: weight, length, money, capacity, area as well as duration (time), perimeter and volume. Also basic geometric shapes, lines of symmetry, tessellation.

Data Handling which includes simple probability, measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode) and dispersion (range), interpreting statistics and more.

Ask Dr Math

Lots of good examples here, but at higher than level 2 in many cases. For those who are looking for a 'bit more' in maths help!

This will really help if you are still uncertain about aspects of the curriculum. They are exercises which need to be printed (watch out...they are quite long!) and answers are provided. Excellent and really worthwhile if you are unsure of yourself.
