It is really important, now that you have got beyond your level 1 pass, to go that bit further and get this behind you.
More and more employers are asking for a GCSE (A-C) grade, and this IS the level 2 qualification. Are you planning to go into nursing? midwifery? Or to get your HLTA for teaching? NOW IS THE TIME TO GET YOUR LEVEL 2 MATHS!
It is quite a lot harder than level 1, but it IS achievable.
There is NO algebra, NO complicated geometry, NO trigonometry and it is MORE of what you did at level 1 - but harder.
Work steadily and purposefully towards that goal - be realistic, have a plan and work step by step to get there.
There are 4 parts to the curriculum:
Number, Fractions/decimals/percentages, Data Handling and Measures/Shapes/Space.
You need to be very comfortable with all of these sections.
Good luck!
Ruth
The key to passing this test first time is :
PRACTICE, PRACTICE AND MORE PRACTICE!

You do need to learn a few things 'parrot-fashion' for maths, but they are important basic principles and you need to know them!
